Experience You Can C.O.U.N.T On

With over 20 years of experience in financial oversight, compliance, and process improvement, I’ve developed a passion for creating systems that work for everyone. Whether leading teams as Controller at Verdego Aero or serving on the National Audit & Corporate Compliance Committee, I’ve focused on ensuring everything runs smoothly, efficiently, and transparently.  As a Member, National Scholarship and Standards, I will bring the same level of dedication and my work will be about making policies fair, accessible, and aligned with the values that guide our Sorority. Here’s how my experience directly aligns with the responsibilities of this position:

  • Developing and Enforcing Policies: I’ve worked across Sorority operations, higher education, and nonprofit sectors to develop and enforce policies. As Chapter President and Audit Committee Chair, I revamped scholarship and financial procedures, improving efficiency by 100% and ensuring compliance. This experience will help me establish clear, effective scholarship standards.

  • Managing Conflict: I’ve handled complex disputes and sensitive issues with fairness and transparency, ensuring that all decisions reflect our Sorority's values. I’ve mediated challenges within financial and governance areas, and my skills will be key in maintaining the integrity of the scholarship and standards processes.

  • Training and Development: As a Certified Membership Intake Trainer, I’ve led workshops on compliance, leadership, and policy. I’m experienced in delivering training to ensure that all members are aligned with our Sorority’s scholarship expectations and standards.

  • Evaluating Membership and Reclamation: Through Leadership Academies and advising collegiate chapters, I’ve focused on retention and accountability, ensuring members adhere to Sorority policies and are supported in their journey. I’ll prioritize integrating scholarship into these programs to help all members succeed.

  • Disciplinary Actions: In my roles as Chapter President and Controller, I’ve implemented corrective actions to ensure compliance and maintain fairness. My focus on transparency and fairness will be essential when making decisions related to scholarship and standards.

  • Building Consensus: I’ve successfully built unity among diverse teams and stakeholders, contributing to large-scale initiatives and helping us earn Chapter of the Year recognition. This skill will ensure that all voices are heard and decisions reflect our collective goals.

With this experience and my commitment to strategic leadership, ethics, and mentorship, I am ready to help make National Scholarship and Standards a pillar of transparency, opportunity, and excellence in our Sorority’s future.
